Click on the photo to see images of our Kinder students using their ipod touches for the first time.
Numbers
This application has been added to our Kinder touches to reinforce counting by ones. It is a great model for one to one matching. It is a fun to use as it is interactive.
Pocket Phonic
This is another application that reinforces letter and sound identification. It also models how to form letters and gives students feedback as they write letters on the screen.
I Write Words
This application is great for letter recognition and formation of letters and numerals. It gives great feedback to students as they form letters following numbers. It also models how to form each letter in an interactive way.
LAZ Reader
This application is a great find. It has twelve level one readers with realistic pictures and easy comments. I have added it to our Kinder touches and will use it firstly for initial guided reading sessions to introduce basic concepts about print. I will keep it on the touches so that it can be used to build fluency.
Letters A-Z
This application is one of my three-year-old sons favourite as it is interactive. It matches letters in upper and lower case to pictures. I have added it to the Kinder touches for letter and sound recognition.
